You will recall that last year, I created a very simple summer uniform policy, that enabled students to wear smart, impeccable PE kit when summer weather conditions reached certain temperature thresholds. This ensured that students were able to learn in a safe and comfortable environment, whilst not compromising the standard of our traditional school uniform. This clear policy received overwhelmingly positive feedback from students and parents/carers.
This summer term, I have continued to monitor the current weather forecasts closely, and with the temperatures set to be high over the next few days, I have decided to move to our summer uniform policy for the next four days.
Therefore, from Tuesday 13th June to Friday 16th June, all students in the lower school (Years 9, 10 and 11) should wear smart and impeccable PE kit to school. Year 11 will be able to wear their PE kit for their examinations this week. Sixth form students should adapt their business dress to cater for the warm conditions, but dress should remain professional and appropriate.
Please can parents/carers ensure that students to not attempt to make any adjustments to their PE kit. Smart, Trinity PE kit is the only acceptable summer uniform. I am grateful for your support with ensuring your son/daughter wears the appropriate PE kit. Hoodies, tracksuit tops or any other accessories will not be allowed.
Aside from PE kit, please can you ensure that your child arrives at school each day with plenty of water to drink. Students will be encouraged to remain hydrated throughout the day.
If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact the relevant Head of Year and I will remain in contact over the coming days. Looking ahead to next weeks forecast, it is highly likely that students will be required to return to impeccable, full school uniform next week. I will confirm this in due course.
