PARENTAL BULLETIN – 7 JULY 2023
MESSAGE FROM HEADTEACHER
Dear Parent/Carers
In another wonderful Trinity week, we have once again fused high quality of learning opportunities with a rich and varied Broadening Horizons offer. If you follow our social media platforms, you will have seen that our students on the Eindhoven Sports Tour are having the time of their lives. They have represented the school in matches against international opposition, cruised around Amsterdam, visited the PSV Eindhoven Stadium and been thrilled at Efteling Theme Park.
Closer to home, the school; welcomed Alison Leck and her JFK forensic workshop. This was a chance for 60 of our Year 10 budding scientists to decide who killed JFK. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, which gave them an insight into a possible career path.
Forty year 8 students visited us on Thursday for a STEM transition day. They experienced two workshops, one science-based Physics A level workshop and another Engineering.
Next week we have our Year 8 students visiting for transition, and trips to Barcelona and the World War One Battlefields for our Year 10 and 12 students. I look forward to letting you know all about these events, next week.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the sunshine.

Work Experience
We are now nearing the end of term and it is our aim to have all of Year 10 placed by then for their Work Experience week 5th-8th September.
We are nearly there but students do need to not only choose their placement on their database, but they also need to contact them either through email or face to face with their CV and letter of application. They can apply for more than one placement at a time. The templates are on their Teams channel ‘Intake 2021’ under Careers and the website.
We can then chase placements and confirm or move to the student’s other choices. The students can apply for other placements not necessarily on the data base as well.
The students have had emails and an assembly to clarify the situation and chances to use the computers at lunchtimes.
Thank you to everyone who has been in contact with me about providing the students own placements or by encouraging their children to apply through the database.
