NCIS
Our Year 12 students had a virtual assembly to kick off the new half term from the National Citizen Service (NCS). Students learned about the different types of opportunities that NCS can offer; ‘Live it’, ‘Boss it’ and ‘Change it’. All involve 5 day, 4 night residential and are fully inclusive of transport, accommodation, food and drinks throughout the 5 day experience.
The NCS programme is highly valued both on CVs and by UCAS, all at a maximum cost of £95 per person. NCS is largely government-funded and further support is available for young carers, those in care, with EHCPs, Pupil Premium, Free School Meal or families in receipt of universal credit.
