MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been a truly marvellous week at Trinity and there are many highlights to share. Firstly, last Friday, we welcomed 18 more initial teacher trainees to our school for their induction day. They are joining us and the profession at an exciting time, and we are delighted that they are beginning their careers with us at Trinity.

Friday evening was also the annual Year 11 prom, where our students danced the night away at one of the best proms I’ve been to. The students were great company and staff who attended were very proud of them. We hope they enjoy a great summer break.

On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, our new intake week took place, where we welcomed our new students and parents/carers to our Trinity family. Highlights included our new intake evening where we met all of our new parents/carers, our new intake sports day organised by our Year 12 sports leaders, taster lessons, preparation assemblies and a house flag competition. The students were a credit to themselves and we can’t wait to welcome them on their first day.

Also, this week, our Year 9 and 10 students enjoyed a trip to the Lickey Hills. The greatest testament I can pay to our students is that the staff returned complimenting the students on their behaviour and how nice their company was; if that isn’t HEART values, I don’t know what is.

Please can I also keep gently reminding parents/carers to confirm your attendance for the evening of TUESDAY 15TH JULY for our summer awards evening. Our governors and I cannot wait to welcome parents/carers of award winners to this prestigious end of year awards event.

Finally, today, I will write out to parents/carers with my annual end of year final week and new academic year preparation letter. This is a long correspondence, with lots of really important information. Please be sure to read it carefully and get in touch if you have any questions.
Enjoy the weather and next week, I’ll be writing to you in the final newsletter of the year.

CONTACTING SCHOOL

As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis.  Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left.  We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact.  Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
