MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you are continuing to enjoy the lovely summer weather. As we head towards the end of a long and successful term, building cultural capital and giving students memorable life experiences is as much a daily theme for us, as are regular classroom lessons. This week many of our students have embarked on their Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I feel very proud that, at Trinity, we run the Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards and this week, our Year 10 Bronze cohort went out. Thank you very much to the Duke of Edinburgh team for their planning and for sacrificing their weekends and allowing the students this rich and wonderful experience.
In terms of preparedness for life and careers information and guidance, this week, Year 12 students headed to Cardiff University to experience a popular higher education setting. There was also a Year 12 ‘Futures Day’, which was an in-school employability event where students prepared themselves further for the world of work after Trinity. I really appreciate our partners at the various organisations and our staff for organising such immersive and important progression events.
Also, this week, we welcomed our family of local Redditch first and middle schools, known as our ‘pyramid’ schools, who joined our students for our Pyramid Concert. The talent on show was amazing and all the students were a credit to themselves, their schools and their parents. I feel very fortunate to have hosted the concert and to watch so many local children come together to showcase their voices.
Please can I also keep reminding parents/carers to save the date of the evening of TUESDAY 15TH JULY for our summer awards evening. Our governors and I cannot wait to welcome parents/carers of award winners to this prestigious end of year awards event. The invite letters have now gone out and my staff and I look forward to warmly welcoming you to the evening.
Every week, we remind parents/carers and politely ask, that you work with us to ensure that your child is in school every day, unless they are extremely unwell or there are other exceptional circumstances. We would also ask that you work with us to ensure they arrive well ahead of 8.40am and that they present to school each day in immaculate school uniform. Next week, unless the temperatures rise again, all students will remain in full school uniform.
If you would like support or guidance with any of these things, please speak to the relevant Head of Year or Pastoral Manager and we will be happy to support you.
I am looking forward to sharing news from around the school next week.
Mr Ford

CONTACTING SCHOOL
As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left. We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact. Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
