Year 11 Sport Studies Etihad Stadium Trip
On Friday 25th November we took 50 Year 11 Sport Studies students to the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City Football Club, for their newly launched ‘Stadium as a Business’ event. Students were treated to a VIP tour of the stadium and their knowledge of the Media in Sport was put to the test by our tour guides, who commented on how excellent all our students had not only behaved but also how they engaged with all elements of the event.
Highlights from the day included students being treated to the full home experience, from being able to sit in the home team dressing room – Grealish, Haaland and Foden’s seats proved popular – to walking down the tunnel and out onto pitch side. Miss Hopkins and Mr Bristowe were also treated to a mock press conference by Jake H, Lottie D, Fraser G, James H and even the main man himself Pep!
Our students continued to be a credit to our school community on our journey home, with the manager of WH Smiths in the service station seeking me out to comment on how well behaved they were in shop!
