Year 11 boys’ handball

The Year 11 boys went to Tudor Grange for their first handball fixture and came away winners with a result of 16-13.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say we were learning as we went, but the lads adapted quickly and ran out winners with a strong second half. Goals came from everywhere, but most notable were Riley’s devastating interceptions and counter-attacks. The Tudor Grange defence just couldn’t handle his direct running and powerful shots.
A goalkeeper has the hardest job in handball and Ellis literally put blood, sweat and tears into the game. Not even a nose bleed from saving a shot with his face could stop him. After only a few minutes off he was back in goal saving Trinity as the last line of defence.
A great win for Trinity and a game played in excellent spirit by both teams. The promise of a rematch is on the cards.
