Year 10 Rock Climbing at Warwick University

On June 12th and 13th, , 8 Year 10 students travelled to the University of Warwick to complete a rock climbing course. This was an opportunity to be assessed as part of their GCSE PE course.
The students learned fundamental rock-climbing skills over the two days. They had to combine decision-making and problem-solving with resilience and physical fitness to climb the various routes they encountered. It was a fantastically organised two days, with the instructors tailoring the course to the AQA Specification. The instructors were very complimentary and gave the students some very respectable grades.
We’re sure there were some very tired and achy bodies the following morning!
Well done to everyone involved!
