Thriving Minds Trip

On Thursday last week, a group of Year 9 students were invited to a conference, being held at Arrow Vale High School.  Students took part in a session where they were introduced to the weird and wonderful world of Quantum Mechanics, had small group discussions and debate about whether diet was a free choice, took place in an exploration of the difficulties of achieving justice, what the point of punishment is and what it achieves, and finished off the day with a debate: This house believes that freewill is an illusion.  Students met other students from schools across the Midlands and worked confidently to deliver their opinions and beliefs throughout the day.  These students were a credit to themselves, their families and the whole Trinity family: Manny A, Harry B, Ehtna B, Joshua B-G, Sam C, Alistair F, Chase H-H, Hadley Kilkenny, Michael L, Richard R, Hettie M.
Joshua B-G – ‘During this experience I enjoyed learning about quantum physics, it was very interesting.  I also enjoyed meeting new people and listening to their incites’.
Hettie M – ‘ I enjoyed learning about the quantum theory and how something can both exist and not exist at the same time.  I also enjoyed debating about freewill and if it is an illusion or not’.
