Parliamentary Questions
As part of UK Parliament Week, 24-30th November, our local MP Chris Bloore invited THS students to submit a question to potentially be asked in Parliament.
As we have such a large cohort, we felt this was an opportunity to discuss the democratic process with students. All form groups were invited to submit a question, these were then discussed by our student council and they have put it to a vote regarding which question we submitted.
The winners were the form group: 11EPE and they asked ‘Are there plans to review the GCSE grading system to ensure it accurately reflects students’ abilities and there is consistency across years and exam boards?’
