GCSE Media Studies trip to Twycross Zoo

GCSE Media NEA Coursework trip to Twycross Zoo: Wednesday 16th November 2022
As part of the Media GCSE course there is an NEA element, which is worth 30%. Students are expected to carry out a series of photoshoots outside the classroom environment, encompassing all their theory skills in Media Language, to produce original well-thought through photos. The briefs chosen by students, set by OCR, were Animal Welfare or Mental Health.
We chose a fantastic day to go, the Zoo was practically empty, so students were able to get some great shots. We even saw a university experiment taking place with monkeys and a memory game.
Emily, our Year 11 Media student, wrote the following: The media trip that we went on the 16th of November was a lot of fun and it helped us a lot with our coursework and getting more images for our websites and magazines. Thank you to Miss Jordan, Mr Clements, Mrs Douglas and Mrs Edginton for setting up this trip for us, as it was a great and helpful day out. Please enjoy some of the photos that Year 11 Media students took.
