From Trinity High School to Hollywood!

Last week, Trinity High School had the pleasure of hosting a special guest speaker, Charlie Vaughan, a Key Second Assistant director came to speak with our Media and IT students about the film industry and the art of filmmaking. This was an incredible opportunity for our students to learn from a professional in the field and gain insight into the creative process behind making a movie.

Charlie shared insights on their creative process, including how they create and run call lists, as well as the challenges and rewards of working in the film industry. Charlie has worked on several films, to name a few; Mission Impossible: Fall Out, Justice League, Fantastic Beasts and Downton Abbey. Students were particularly interested in hearing about Charlie’s experience working with big-name actors and how they approach directing them. Actors included, Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep, Eddie Redmayne, Jason Momoa and many more.

Overall, the talk was a huge success and received rave reviews from students, especially when she created an email account for them to ask any questions away from the session too! Students were truly inspired, especially as Charlie is originally from Redditch! We were honoured to have Charlie as our guest speaker and hope to have her back again in the future.
