Year 9 and 10 cricket vs Saints
On Tuesday 18th, June Trinity welcomed Saints for a 12 over cricket match. The boys really deserved to play a proper game due to strong attendance every week at our Wednesday after school cricket club.
We batted first and set a total of 85 in 12 overs. This was largely thanks to Hadley K’s 42, where he was forced to retire by Mr Downing to give other batters a go (sorry Hadley!).
Special mentions to Courtney Manzini and Elliot Hicks-Kenward who formed good partnerships with Hadley to set a competitive total.
We started our bowling innings and thanks to some early wickets from Talha and Bobby we put ourselves in a very strong position. Special mention to Ali R who bowled a ball that came down with snow on it and hit the base of middle stump to keep the early wickets tumbling. However, Saints managed to get some partnerships together throughout to fight back and chase the 85 runs down with three balls to spare.
Both teams conducted themselves fantastically and a special thanks goes to Ayaan and Rehaan who umpired the whole fixture!
