Trinity High School in Redditch up for Education Award

Trinity High School in Redditch up for education award | Worcester News

Trinity High School and Sixth Form Centre has been nominated for ‘Secondary School of the Year’ in the Worcestershire Education Awards 2024.

The school has been nominated by parents and carers for its outstanding support and understanding of students as well as its dedication to teaching.

Parent Kelly Kalaker said: “When first visiting the school, we weren’t sure what to expect but we walked away feeling inspired, excited, reassured and absolutely certain that it was the school for our daughter.

“The main reason for my nomination is how struck I am by the amount of true care, understanding and support they give to their pupils. The happiness of their pupils is of the utmost importance to them and this really shows through their approach to teaching, learning and pastoral care.

“It truly is a unique school and one from which others could learn a lot.”

Reacting to the nomination, Headteacher Nigel Ford said: “We are delighted that Trinity High School and Sixth Form Centre has been nominated for secondary school of the year in the Worcestershire Education Awards 2024.

“Nominations have been made, unbeknown to us, by a delegation of our parents and carers for which we are very humbled and grateful. We are thrilled that our staff have been recognised for their tireless work to ensure that our students can realise their talents and create their futures.

“We strive every day to deliver a world-class education for our students, and I am immensely proud of what we are achieving at the school.

“However, perhaps what we are most proud of are our students who work hard every day to live our HEART values of happiness, excellence, ambition, respect and tolerance. Without exception, every visitor to the school comments on their manners, smiles, work ethic and sense of togetherness.

“Trinity is a very special place, and we are delighted to receive this nomination. Irrespective of whether we win or not, it is a huge honour to be recognised for our success.”

The Worcestershire Education Awards shine a spotlight on those who continue to make a difference in the field of education and are organised by Newsquest – publishers of the Worcester News, Malvern Gazette, Evesham Journal, Bromsgrove and Droitwich Advertiser, Redditch Advertiser and Kidderminster Shuttle.
