Parental Bulletin – 7th November 2025

MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn Term. I hope all members of the Trinity community enjoyed a really relaxing and fun packed half term holiday and plenty of fun was had by all, including lots of Halloween fun.

This week, saying that we were straight back into business was an understatement as the week began with our normal round of assemblies for Years 9, 10 and 12, but slightly more importantly, the first series of mock examinations started for Years 11 and 13. I hope parents/carers and students benefitted from the revision support that we provided to the students in the ‘survive and thrive’ assembly and on our social media channels. The students have approached their examinations this week with maturity and diligence, and we thank them all and encourage them to KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON into week two.

On Tuesday, it was a pleasure to welcome internal and external candidates to our Sixth Form open evening. It was particularly exciting to welcome a record number of external candidates from other local schools. One of the highlights of the evening was the subject fayre, which was expertly run by our amazing subject leaders, who consulted with parents on the benefits of taking their subjects at Key Stage Five. I am always humbled at the dedication of our subject leaders and thank you to all students and parents/carers for considering us. Remember applications close on Monday 21st November.

This week, we also held our annual remembrance service, where we stood together, to honour the incredible courage and sacrifice of generations of British service men and women who have given their lives to protect the freedoms that we enjoy today and allow us to live in a world of peace. Due to the weather, we had to adjust the service this year and take it indoors. However, this didn’t make it any less poignant as we welcomed our special guest, Tony Aston, an ex-student of the school, who has published a book and written a poem about the fallen soldiers who attended Redditch County High School during the first and second world wars. We are very grateful to Tony for attending and commemorating with us.

Every week, we remind parents/carers and politely ask, that you work with us to ensure that your child is in school every day, unless they are extremely unwell or there are other exceptional circumstances. We would also ask that you work with us to ensure they arrive well ahead of 8.40am and that they present to school each day in immaculate school uniform. In Autumn Term, full school uniform is expected, and appearance should be immaculate. Facial piercings are NOT permitted, and students should understand that blazers are compulsory and jumpers are optional. We will only accept the Trinity sweatshirt or knitted v neck available from Orchard clothing. As it gets colder, the rule is coats are fine to wear but must be worn OVER the blazer and not instead of it. Hoodies or tracksuit tops are not permitted.

If you would like support or guidance with any of these things, please speak to the relevant Form Tutor, Head of Year or Pastoral Manager and we will be happy to support you.

I am looking forward to sharing news from around the school next week.

Mr Ford

CONTACTING SCHOOL

As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis.  Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left.  We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact.  Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.

EXCELLENCE FOR ALL AWARDS EVENING

Date for the diary: Tuesday 16th December Autumn Milestone Awards Evening. At Trinity, our ethos is underpinned by praise; this is so important to us. We have endeavoured to cement our ethos of inclusivity and the highest of expectations by creating a ‘praise culture’ amongst students and staff. Every time a student makes a positive choice they are rewarded with a positive point. These points accumulate and at the end of each term we celebrate the milestones that students have reached. In order to include as many students as possible we leave the cut-off date as late as possible. Invites for those who have achieved milestones will be sent out to parents w/b 8/12/25.

Please see attached information.
