Dear Parents/Carers,

As we venture deeper into the Autumn term, it is fair to say that life at Trinity is definitely back in full swing and frankly feels better than ever. This is largely due to the sense of community that is being created by the fantastic relationships that exist between students and staff. It is such a wonderful place to come to each day and we are really looking forward to showing prospective parents and students around our school on our Open Week next week (Open mornings 9.15-11.15 Monday -Thursday and Open Evening on Thursday 10th October from 6.00pm-8.30pm.

Some of this week’s highlights include the Macmillan Coffee morning bake sale run by the sixth formers, which was a huge success and raised significant amounts of money for such an important and impactful cancer charity. Other highlights have been in and around the curriculum, such as our new historian of the month winners Chloe, Manny and Kye, who have shown remarkable determination to their history studies. Also, the House Art competition has taken place, extra-curricular sport continues to be well-attended and the food technology department is on fire (not literally) with all the wonderful experiences that they are providing for our students, such as the recent fish masterclass.

Please can I remind parents/carers of the best ways to reach us if you would like to contact us. Some recent parent feedback has led me to believe that there are some frustrations around our phone lines and how busy they are at peak times in particular. It is really important that we listen to parent feedback and respond swiftly, therefore my strong recommendation is that if you would like to discuss anything with a member of staff then email is the best option. You can find staff email addresses on our website in ABOUT US, MEET OUR STAFF.

I hope you all have a good weekend when it comes and I look forward to writing out to you next week.

Mr Ford

CONTACTING SCHOOL

As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message and to re-iterate Mr Ford’s comments, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis.  Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity either to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left.  We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact.  Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
