Parental Bulletin – 2nd May 2025
MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to Summer Term. I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable Easter break and made some wonderful memories during the well-deserved break.
It has been a hot one this week at Trinity, as the exam season started in earnest with key exams at A level and GCSE. The majority of the exams were smaller, practical exams, speaking exams or Year 9 exams and we are incredibly proud of how the students managed themselves this week. Exam season can often be a daunting prospect and it is well worth remembering that help at Trinity is never far away.
This week it was fabulous to meet so many parents at Year 10 parents’ evening. We are so grateful that you gave up your evenings on a scorching hot Thursday evening to come and receive feedback on the progress of your children in such large numbers. Thank you for the feedback on the evening for what we are trying to achieve; we really appreciate it.
As always, the Broadening Horizons curriculum has been alive and kicking this week and students have been taking advantage of all things musical, sporty, creative and fun. Each week I will share the events that make our school special and that make coming to Trinity such a joy for our students.
Every week, we remind parents/carers and politely ask, that you work with us to ensure that your child is in school every day, unless they are extremely unwell or there are other exceptional circumstances. We would also ask that you work with us to ensure they arrive well ahead of 8.40am and that they present to school each day in immaculate school uniform. If you would like support or guidance with any of these things, please speak to the relevant Head of Year or Pastoral Manager and we will be happy to support you. If we make any adjustments this summer term in our uniform, due to hot weather conditions, we will let you know. However, for now, students should wear full school uniform, but they are welcome to remove their blazer in class.
I am looking forward to sharing news from around the school next week.
Mr Ford
CONTACTING SCHOOL
As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message and to re-iterate Mr Ford’s comments, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity either to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left. We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact. Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
