Parental Bulletin – 27th June 2025
MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents and Carers,
As the academic year heads into the final three weeks, I have the pleasure of taking a brief pause, stepping off the hamster wheel and reflecting on the highlights of the week.
One of the nicest things to happen to a Headteacher is to open the post each morning and receive thank you letters or letters regarding student success. This week I received a letter regarding Lillie T in Year 10 who has being volunteering as a food bank support worker at Batchley Support Group. She has impressed the support group so much that they felt it important to write to us, to recognise her success. Thank you for your service to the community Lillie and keep doing the great work; Trinity is proud of you.
This week it has been the turn of Years 10 and 12 to undertake their summer exam series. We have been really impressed with the attitude displayed by both year groups. There is no getting away from the fact that examinations are daunting, but the more real experiences students get, the better prepared they are for the final assessments. Well done to all in both year groups.
This week, we have also said a fond farewell and good luck to our initial teacher trainees who have been the first cohort through our school-centred teacher trainee hub. Each trainee has not only been a pleasure to have around the school, but they have both developed as great teachers and given loads to the wider life of the school. We have been lucky enough to employ some of them, but all trainees have jobs, and we know they’ll be successful in their teaching careers. A big well done must also go to the trainees’ mentors, who really have invested time, energy and expertise into making the trainees ‘career ready’. Good luck to you all.
Please can I also keep reminding parents/carers to save the date of the evening of TUESDAY 15TH JULY for our summer awards evening. Our governors and I cannot wait to welcome parents/carers of award winners to this prestigious end of year awards event.
Every week, we remind parents/carers and politely ask, that you work with us to ensure that your child is in school every day, unless they are extremely unwell or there are other exceptional circumstances. We would also ask that you work with us to ensure they arrive well ahead of 8.40am and that they present to school each day in immaculate school uniform. Next week, unless the temperatures rise again, all students will remain in full school uniform.
If you would like support or guidance with any of these things, please speak to the relevant Head of Year or Pastoral Manager and we will be happy to support you.
I am looking forward to sharing news from around the school next week.
Mr Ford

CONTACTING SCHOOL
As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left. We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact. Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
