Parental Bulletin – 3rd MAY 2024
MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents/Carers,
As another busy week at Trinity comes to an end, it is once again time to reflect on some of the highlights of the week both in the classroom and beyond. It is one of my favourite jobs of the week to write the parent bulletin, as it helps me to remember just what a fantastic school community we have and how much amazing work is going on.
This week there have been formal examinations in Modern Languages and Photography and students have been dedicated and committed during these exams. On Monday and Tuesday we hosted Talk the Talk, which is an initiative aimed at our more able students, teaching them how to confidently communicate in society. The students were fantastic and the sessions were really well received.
Also, this week, in our broadening horizons curriculum, the World Challenge students continued to raise money for their once in a lifetime experience to Malaysia through their charity car wash. The Year 11 rounders team won their final match against St Augustine’s and there were a whole host of extra-curricular activities that students participated in and enjoyed throughout the week.
In order to shine a light on some of the talented students who attend our school, I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Ben Tomlinson (Year 9) who plays rugby for Bromsgrove and whose team won the U14s North Midlands Cup on Sunday, beating Whitchurch 32-12. Ben scored the first try from his own 10 metre line.
I’d also like to congratulate Hailey Best (Year 10) who recently competed in the Crossfit Games 2024 against some formidable opposition. Crossfit is a brutal test of strength, athleticism and perseverance and the whole Trinity family are super proud that we have such talented students as Hailey and Ben in our school.
May I remind parent/carers of our two school standards focus for this term, uniform and punctuality.
Uniform must be worn immaculately and we ask parents/carers support us with this. Students who do not wear our uniform immaculately will be asked to correct their uniform and we ask for parental support to ensure that students wear the correct uniform and wear it properly. Shoes should be formal and the same type that are worn to a wedding or business occasion, jumpers should be
v-neck with the Trinity logo and shirts should be tucked in at all times.
In terms of punctuality, we are now operating a system where legal action will be taken for students who demonstrate persistent lateness to school and Mr Eldred will be monitoring the gate and addressing late comers to school. Please could I ask for your support in ensuring your child arrives at school on time.
I look forward to writing to you next week. If you need anything at any point don’t hesitate to contact us.
Mr Ford
