Parental Bulletin – 26th September 2025
MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents, Carers and Students,
This week at Trinity has been action packed and a very busy Autumn term week across the school. One of the new features of this year’s parent bulletin, is to shine a light on the amazing students that were nominated to attend Headteacher’s brunch last Friday. Last week it was a pleasure to meet Jazmin W and Kayla W, who were nominated for their conscientious approach to school, and demonstrating the HEART values consistently. Also, Katie M-S and Leo R who have made huge progress in academic and pastoral fields. We are very proud of these students and look forward to more Headteacher’s brunches throughout the year.
This week, visits to lessons across the school have evidenced good approaches to learning for the vast majority of students. Classrooms have been calm and purposeful. It has been amazing to spend lots of time in sixth form over the week and witness not just students who are focussed academically, but students who are committed to charity work, and have, alongside staff organised this year’s Macmillan coffee morning which takes place today. It is also always great to visit sixth form on ‘Toast Friday’ too, it is the best atmosphere in the sixth form centre, and we feel very privileged to have so many young role models in one space.
On Thursday, it was brilliant to see so many Year 11 parents/carers join their children for the Year 11 information evening, where crucial guidance was shared, to provide a clarity and help all Year 11 students and parents/carers to understand the best ways to attack this coming year. Thank you to everyone that supported the evening.
In terms of our commitment to personal development, this week we recognised Youth Mental Health Day 2025, and the senior leadership team made it their mission to talk to as many students about positive things as possible. Students completed reflections on the HEART Wall, and we really appreciated their approach to the day.
Every week, we remind parents/carers and politely ask, that you work with us to ensure that your child is in school every day, unless they are extremely unwell or there are other exceptional circumstances. We would also ask that you work with us to ensure they arrive well ahead of 8.40am and that they present to school each day in immaculate school uniform. In Autumn Term, full school uniform is expected, and appearance should be immaculate. Facial piercings are NOT permitted, and students should understand that blazers are compulsory, and jumpers are optional. We will only accept the Trinity sweatshirt or knitted v neck available from Orchard clothing.
If you would like support or guidance with any of these things, please speak to the relevant Form Tutor, Head of Year or Pastoral Manager and we will be happy to support you.
I am looking forward to sharing news from around the school next week.
Mr Ford
CONTACTING SCHOOL
As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left. We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact. Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
