Parental Bulletin – 26 January 2024

MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope your weeks have been kind to you and you have made it to Friday with smiles still on your faces. One of my biggest highlights this week was meeting so many parents/carers at the Year 9 Options Information Evening. I was blown away with the overwhelmingly positive feedback about the evening itself, the careers information and guidance package that the Year 9 students are receiving and then general feedback regarding how pleased parents/carers are with their child’s experience at Trinity so far.

It is always great in any school when the broadening horizons programme includes the opportunity for students to access international trips and this morning, at 2am, a group of students set off for a long weekend in Paris. We wish them safe travels and hope they have an amazing time.

Next week is all about mock examinations series two and the hope is that our Year 11 and 13 students will have made significant progress since the first mock exam series. We wish all our students studying for mock exams the best of luck for the next two weeks.

Please can I continue to remind parents/carers of the rules around immaculate uniform. Students may only wear a Trinity jumper, and this should be in addition to and not replace the compulsory item of the blazer. During the cold conditions students are more than welcome to wear a warm coat but no tracksuit tops or hoodies please.

Finally, this term, we are working on the theme of Respect within our behaviour curriculum and focus weeks. We are specifically reinforcing the concept that ‘manners cost nothing’ and we were hoping that parents/carers could support us by rehearsing at home the need for please and thank you during interactions with adults and each other. We would, as always, be very grateful for your support.

Please let us know if you need any support at any stage of this term. Our contact details are on the website, and it is only with effective communication between parents/carers and school can we hope to help your children fulfil their potential.

Have a great weekend and I look forward to writing to you next week.

Best Regards,

Mr Ford

Headteacher
