Parental Bulletin – 18th October 2024
MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents and Carers,
This week at Trinity, we have continued to work extremely hard to offer the best possible learning experiences to our students. Highlights of this week have included showing more parents/carers around who missed our open evening and getting into many classrooms to witness students learning. We have looked at lots of books, spoken to numerous students and been to many lessons; it’s been an absolute pleasure.
Other highlights have been going to spend some time with the sixth formers during their ‘Toast Friday’ where sixth form tutors make toast for all of the Year 12 and 13 students. It is always such a lovely morning and the students and staff have such strong, working relationships. There has also been the usual action-packed calendar of wider curricular, broadening horizons experiences, including a GCSE photography trip to Bristol, many house experiences, including the house art competition and extra-curricular activities that have enjoyed high levels of participation.
Please can I remind parents/carers of the best ways to reach us if you would like to contact us. Some recent parent feedback has led me to believe that there are some frustrations around our phone lines and how busy they are at peak times in particular. It is really important that we listen to parent feedback and respond swiftly, therefore my strong recommendation is that if you would like to discuss anything with a member of staff then email is the best option. You can find staff email addresses on our website in ABOUT US, MEET OUR STAFF.
I hope you all have a good weekend when it comes and I look forward to writing out to you next week.
Mr Ford
CAR PARK SAFETY
Could we please ask anybody dropping off or picking up a student from the Grove St entrance of school to drive slowly, between 5-10 miles per hour, into and out of the car park. We are concerned for the safety of our students. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
CONTACTING SCHOOL
As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity either to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left. We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact. Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
