PARENTAL BULLETIN

MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Dear Parents/Carers,

The first full week of Trinity has disappeared in a flash (much like the summer weather). This week students experienced the first full week of their new timetables; we are so proud of the efforts and hard work that they have demonstrated in their new classes. This week was also a massive week for us as we launched our READING SCHOOL which is our new short 20-minute lesson, where we aim to entice, delight, and challenge our students’ thinking through reading. Once again, the students have taken to reading school really well and can clearly see the benefits of the programme already. Aside from ensuring students increase their literacy ability, it is such a calm and therapeutic start to the day.

Please can parents/carers support us by ensuring that our students exhibit the highest of standards during their time at school. This year we will continue to insist that all students attend every day. Please find below two posters to help you decide when your child should or shouldn’t attend school if they are unwell.

Please can you also continue to support us in ensuring that your children wear their uniform immaculately every day. The only small issue that we have encountered this week is that students must now wear a V neck jumper from Orchards with a Trinity logo. There are two options: a sweatshirt version and a knitted version. Either are fine but it must be a Trinity V neck.

Next week I will begin to celebrate life beyond the classroom as our Broadening Horizons programme really kicks in. We look forward to sharing all the news from Trinity each week in this bulletin.

Have a lovely weekend.

Mr Ford

Headteacher
