Parental Bulletin – 14th March 2025

MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope everyone in the Trinity family has had a successful and enjoyable week. As usual, I will start with my highlights of the week, or ‘peaks of the week’ as I call them in staff briefing. Firstly, it was a pleasure to hear some of the stories and memories shared by the students and staff who returned safe and sound from the Madrid trip earlier in the week. The party had an amazing cultural experience and some of the highlights are available for all to see on our social media channels.

Also, this week, it was a pleasure to welcome parents/carers of Year 12 students to their parents’ evening, to consult with teachers on their child’s performance and progress so far in their courses. Thank you to parents/carers for their lovely feedback and for supporting your child on the evening.

In typical Trinity fashion, this week has also seen plenty going on in the world of personal development, including the AMAZING news that the students in our first ever cadet unit have all passed their first assessment. We are all so super proud of them and I will be having breakfast with them next week to celebrate. There have also been lots of students thriving outside of the classroom in basketball fixtures, football tournaments and other such sporting events.

Every week we would remind parents/carers and politely ask that you work with us to ensure that your child is in school every day, unless they are extremely unwell or there are other exceptional circumstances. We would also ask that you work with us to ensure they arrive well ahead of 8.40am and that they present to school each day in immaculate school uniform. If you would like support or guidance with any of these things, please speak to the relevant Head of Year or Pastoral Manager and we will be happy to support you.

I am looking forward to sharing news from around the school next week.

Mr Ford

CONTACTING SCHOOL

As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message and to re-iterate Mr Ford’s comments, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis.  Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity either to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left.  We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact.  Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
