Parental Bulletin – 12th September 2025

MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Dear Parents and Carers and Students,

Welcome to the 2025-26 academic year and to the first parent bulletin of the year. Every week I write to you, as part of my commitment to effective communication, to share information, celebrate successes and give you a flavour of what has been happening around the Trinity community on any given week.

The parent bulletin accompanies social media platforms, MCAS and traditional letters to allow us to communicate with our parents/carers effectively.

I would like to extend a particular welcome to our new Year 9 and 12 parents/carers, who joined the Trinity family last week. We hope that you and your children enjoy being part of our community.

This week we have enjoyed our first full week in the classroom, where students are embarking on new learning routines and courses. Year 9 are settling in well, Year 10 and 12 have made a strong start to their GCSE and A level courses and Years 11 and 13 have been rehearsing how they are going to perform well this coming summer in their formal examinations.

Our new teaching staff have brought energy, enthusiasm and expertise to the Trinity family and we are very lucky to have them. We also welcome some new support staff to our school, who are also extremely talented in their fields.

Next week, one of the priorities will be to ensure that as many students as possible are involved in as many extra-curricular activities as possible, as that is one of our strategies for broadening students’ horizons and giving them a well-rounded education. Details on clubs and events are available on social media on our website.

Every week, we remind parents/carers and politely ask that you work with us to ensure that your child is in school every day, unless they are extremely unwell or there are other exceptional circumstances. We would also ask that you work with us to ensure that they arrive well ahead of 8.40am and that they present to school each day in immaculate school uniform. In Autumn Term, full school uniform is expected, and appearance should be immaculate. Facial piercings are NOT permitted, and students should understand that blazers are compulsory, but jumpers are optional. We will only accept the Trinity sweatshirt or knitted v neck available from Orchard clothing.

If you would like support or guidance with any of these things, please speak to the relevant form tutor, head of year or pastoral manager and we will be happy to support you.

I am looking forward to sharing news from around the school next week, including details of the first Headteacher’s ‘Feel Good Friday’ brunch and other news from around the school.

Mr Ford

CONTACTING SCHOOL

As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis.  Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left.  We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact.  Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
