Parental Bulletin – 10th MAY 2024
MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents/Carers,
This week the sun has shone at Trinity for the first week of the formal examinations for Years 11 and 13. Most of the preparations, revision and hard work are behind the students and now the summer exams begin. I would like to wish them all the very best of luck for the next few weeks. Our Year 11 and 13 cohorts are full of wonderful young people who have worked hard and deserve to do well. Our keep calm, stay focused and prepare well messages will be the key messages throughout the examination series and if parents/carers or students need us at any point then they should not hesitate to let us resolve any issues or queries.
In other news, this week we officially opened the PAUL RICKARD 3G Astro facility which is named after and dedicated to Paul Rickard who was a very popular and influential member of staff at the school between 1978 and 2020. Paul not only taught several generations of Trinity students but he had a huge impact on the success of local, regional and national youth football. It is both fitting and appropriate that the Astro is dedicated to his memory. Our Chair of Governors and his wife, Ann Rickard cut the ribbon to open the Astro on Thursday this week and photos of the event will be in the paper and our social media feeds.
Please can I remind parents/carers of our two standards themes of the term: namely uniform and punctuality.
Although it is warm, students should wear full school uniform. We will allow them to remove their blazers but we will ask that they have them with them. Also, students should all be wearing their shirts tucked in and looking immaculate.
In terms of punctuality, students should be in their tutor groups at 8.40am. Students who are late do run the risk of their parents/carers facing legal action and we would really appreciate your support in ensuring students arrive to school on time. Over the past two weeks, the number of students late to school has reduced significantly so we really appreciate your support.
I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend and I look forward to writing to you next week.
