Parental Bulletin – 04th April 2025
MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you have all had a good week and any students and families celebrating Eid had an enjoyable festival. This week at Trinity some of the highlights have been walking around the school a lot, talking to students and looking in some books. Walking the school each day is one of the core duties of a Headteacher and it has been a pleasure to share conversations with students in all year groups about their learning, their favourite lessons, how they are preparing for examinations and, with Year 13, what flavour Pringles they would like at their leaving celebrations! I have been mightily impressed, as always, with our teachers for delivering such high-quality lessons.
Some of the other highlights this week have been talking to some of our Year 13 students and staff who returned from Cyprus last week and had a magnificent time. I always feel incredibly proud that our teachers are willing to organise such incredibly diverse and well-thought-out experiences for our students. This week the Food and Photography departments have been buzzing with creativity and skill as the Year 12 and Year 11 practical examinations are underway. The work that is being produced in both subjects is phenomenal.
PE has also continued to provide some excellent opportunities for our students this week, including the ‘This girl can event’ to encourage girls’ participation in sport and there has been the usual list of fixtures, including the Year 9 students football cup run.
Every week, we remind parents/carers and politely ask that you work with us to ensure that your child is in school every day, unless they are extremely unwell or there are other exceptional circumstances. We would also ask that you work with us to ensure they arrive well ahead of 8.40am and that they present to school each day in immaculate school uniform. If you would like support or guidance with any of these things, please speak to the relevant Head of Year or Pastoral Manager and we will be happy to support you.
Finally, if your child has been invited to the Spring Term Rewards Assembly on Tuesday 8th April, we would strongly encourage you to support the evening and to join us to celebrate the achievements of our students. The assembly celebration will take place from 6pm -8pm.
I am looking forward to sharing news from around the school next week.
Mr Ford
CONTACTING SCHOOL
As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message and to re-iterate Mr Ford’s comments, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity either to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left. We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact. Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
