Trinity Remembers, 10.11.23
On the morning of Friday, 10th November, the whole of Trinity gathered on the playground for our annual Act of Remembrance. We were joined by governors, a standard bearer from the Royal British Legion and our wonderful students from the local cadet forces.
Mr Ford led the service, starting with reminding our students why Remembrance and this year’s theme of ‘Service’ is so important. This was then followed by a series of poems read by Year 12 students. After the Last Post our 2 minutes silence was observed impeccably by the entire school community. Our deputy head student, Tanya, was joined by Kaleigh from Year 12 to read out the lists of the fallen soldiers from THS, while our student cadets marched out and laid a wreath on behalf of the school.
A huge thank you to our cadets, Ethan, Maddy, Owen, Erin, Grace, Emily, Oliver and Luke, and our readers, Tanya, Riley, Kaleigh, Emily and Ed, and all students who volunteered to sell poppies on behalf of the Royal British Legion Gethin, Hayden and Imogen. It was a wonderful display of our school’s HEART values, showing their commitment to Trinity and to our wider community.
