Parental Bulletin – 7th February 2025

MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Dear Parents and Carers,

It’s been an excellent week at Trinity beginning with the news that the students who spent the weekend on the Paris trip, had returned safely back to Redditch. The staff fed back that the students were exceptionally well behaved and made memories that will last a lifetime. Next up for the languages department is their annual trip to Madrid, which many students are very excited about.

Two Y12 students represented the school on an Auschwitz trip, which is always a very poignant and special History trip in the school calendar.

The Year 11 and 13 students concluded their mock exams this week and the marking and moderation process now begins. After half term, students will find out how they performed and then it will be all hands to the pump to prepare students for the final exams in the summer.

This week senior leaders have been busy handing out tokens to students, which count towards this term’s form competition, where the form with the most tokens stands to win some significant prizes. Students can receive tokens for living our values, demonstrating excellence and choosing kindness. I will report back next week on which tutor group has won the prize.

In the world of Broadening Horizons this week, one of the personal highlights is the Year 9 rugby team making such a strong account of themselves at the Bromsgrove School 7’s tournament. As a former player and coach, I was so proud to hear how well the team performed, but most importantly, how much they had enjoyed themselves.

Students are also rehearsing hard for the Trinity House Performing Arts Championship and any parents/carers and students who wish to join us on the evening should check the poster in the bulletin to understand how to purchase tickets.

Next week there are so many great things happening at Trinity and I can’t wait to share the highlights. Have a great weekend; I look forward to writing to you next week.

Mr Ford

CONTACTING SCHOOL

As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message and to re-iterate Mr Ford’s comments, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis.  Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity either to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left.  We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact.  Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
