Parental Bulletin

MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you to parents and carers for your support this week, particularly with ensuring that students looked so smart in their PE kits when we altered the uniform expectations on the hottest day of the year so far. The students were great all day and it reaffirmed to me just how wonderful, mature, thoughtful and adaptable our students always are; we are very lucky to have the students that we do at Trinity.

This week has been and continues to be amazing. As I write this bulletin, we are about an hour away from this year’s Pyramid concert, where Trinity hosts first, middle and high schools from the local area, who come together to perform and showcase the talents of their students. It really is a wonderful occasion and we are always in awe of the children and their enthusiasm.

This week we also hosted our annual Year 11 into 12 sixth form induction day; it was very exciting to see so many of our current Year 11 students continuing with us into Continuing with the theme of sixth form, I would like to extend a huge congratulations to the Year 12 students for their diligent approach to their summer exams this week. The Year 12 exams will give students and teachers a real sense of their progress in Year 12 and help us all to identify which areas of learning they need more support in during Year 13.

It is also the time of year when we are nearing the cut-off for earning house points towards the final celebration assembly of the year. It would be true to say that we have a fantastic VIP guest booked to come and speak with you all. We are keeping it a surprise at the moment, but please can I ask parents/carers to save the date of the morning of Tuesday 16th July 2024 to come and celebrate with us.

Please can I remind parents/carers of our two standards themes of the summer term: namely uniform and punctuality.

Although it is warm, students should wear full school uniform. We will allow them to remove their blazers, but we will ask that they have them with them. Also, students should all be wearing their shirts tucked in and looking immaculate.

In terms of punctuality, students should be in their tutor groups at 8.40am. Students who are late do run the risk of their parents/carers facing legal action and we would really appreciate your support in ensuring students arrive to school on time. Over the past two weeks, the number of students late to school has reduced significantly so we really appreciate your support.

I look forward to writing to you next week and enjoy your weekend when it arrives.

Mr Ford
