Parental Bulletin – 20th September 2024

MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for your ongoing support to ensure that our students have had such a successful week at Trinity. They have been wonderful in classrooms and around the school; they look immaculate and their learning behaviours so far have been exemplary.

This week’s highlights have included the numbers of Year 11 students that engaged in our Passport to Success programme. This is a programme that is designed to support our Year 11 students practice and revise for their final exams at the end of this academic year. The turnout for each of the subject sessions was huge and we are delighted that so many students are committed to studying independently and practicing for their forthcoming public examinations.

It has been delightful to visit lessons and witness the learning of all students, but particularly our new Year 9 cohort. They have settled in really, really well and we are extremely proud of how they have transitioned into Trinity.

On the week beginning Monday 7th October, we will be holding our OPEN WEEK. I wanted to mention this so that parents/carers have the dates and times of both the OPEN MORNINGS and OPEN EVENING.

Our Open Mornings will run on

Monday 7th October – 9.15am-11.15am.

Tuesday 8th October – 9.15am-11.15am

Wednesday 9th October – 9.15am-11.15am

Thursday 10th October – 9.15am-11.15am

To book an appointment to tour the school, please go to our website and book an appointment. There is a banner on the home page to make this easy.

Our Open Evening will run on the evening of Thursday 10th October from 6.00pm to 8.30pm and Headteacher’s addresses will be at 6.00pm and 7.15pm.

We look forward to welcoming lots of prospective parents/carers to our wonderful school.

Can we please remind parents/carers of the benefits of high attendance and ask that you use the guidance below when deciding whether to keep your child off school. It is only with high attendance that we can guarantee success for your child and therefore they must attend daily unless they have a significant illness.

I look forward to writing to you next week.

Mr Ford

CONTACTING SCHOOL

As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message and to re-iterate Mr Ford’s comment last week, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis.  Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity either to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left.  We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact.  Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.

WORD OF THE WEEK

New Word of the Week:

nebulous‘ – when we are talking about clouds, a ‘nebulous’ cloud formation is hazy or glowing in the sky. However, when we are talking about ideas, a ‘nebulous’ concept is one that cannot be easily defined or tied down. See if you can use it this week!
