Parental Bulletin – 14th November 2025

MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

I hope you have all had a good week and firstly, I must offer a personal thank you for the significant number of messages I’ve received from parents/carers, following my letter this week. Hopefully, I have set the school up to run successfully in my absence, and I look forward to being back as soon as I’m able.

This week, I want to start by congratulating our Sports Studies students on their practical exams. One of the features of the exam is that they have to lead and coach first school children and the feedback regarding the professionalism and skill of our students, to lead the sports sessions with such quality. Miss Taylor, the PE team and all of the staff at Trinity are mightily impressed with our Sports Studies cohort.

This week, the first series of mock examinations come to an end. I would like to thank the Year 11 and 13 cohorts and their parents and carers, for their approach to the exams, which was with maturity and diligence. Our teachers are now busy marking and moderating the papers and the results will be available soon. It is important students understand their performance, but also most importantly, their knowledge and skills gaps, so they can perform better in the next mock examination series. I look forward to analysing the results.

At Trinity, it is also the time of year where lots of reviews take place, to validate my judgements and ensure we’re doing a good job. This week we had our annual safeguarding review. To say it was a rigorous review was an understatement, but our safeguarding practice was cited as exceptional and I must thank Mrs Chinn, our designated safeguarding lead for her amazing safeguarding instincts and her incredible attention to detail. We are very blessed to have you as our safeguarding lead.

In and around the school, there are many extra-curricular events going on, such as pop up and busk, cross country, football matches and house activities. It is always amazing to see students doing their absolute best in the wider curriculum, as well as in the classroom.

Every week, we remind parents/carers and politely ask, that you work with us to ensure that your child is in school every day, unless they are extremely unwell or there are other exceptional circumstances. We would also ask that you work with us to ensure they arrive well ahead of 8.40am and that they present to school each day in immaculate school uniform. In Autumn Term, full school uniform is expected, and appearance should be immaculate. Facial piercings are NOT permitted, and students should understand that blazers are compulsory and jumpers are optional. We will only accept the Trinity sweatshirt or knitted v neck available from Orchard clothing. As it gets colder, the rule is coats are fine to wear but must be worn OVER the blazer and not instead of it. Hoodies or tracksuit tops are not permitted.

If you would like support or guidance with any of these things, please speak to the relevant Form Tutor, Head of Year or Pastoral Manager and we will be happy to support you.

I am looking forward to sharing news from around the school next week.

Mr Ford

CONTACTING SCHOOL

As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis.  Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left.  We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact.  Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
