Parental Bulletin – 14th June 2024
MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents/Carers,
As we move quickly through this term, it is always lovely at the end of a long week to reflect on all of the fantastic work that has gone on across the school. Aside from the fact that our exam year groups continue to work hard as they near the end of the formal examination season, there have been so many wonderful opportunities and events taking place this week, where students have been able to demonstrate their skills and talents.
This week some of the highlights include the Year 10 Child Development group baby shower in preparation for the interactive baby week. We have also had Year 8 music transition workshops, Trinity students representing in the county athletics championships and our Year 10 sports leaders running high quality tennis coaching classes for local Redditch first school children.
It is also the time of year where we are nearing the cut off for earning house points towards the final celebration assembly of the year and it would be true to say that we have a fantastic VIP guest booked to come and speak with you all. We are keeping it all a surprise at the moment, but please can I ask parents/carers to save the date of the morning, Tuesday 16th July 2024, to come and celebrate with us.
Please can I remind parents/carers of our two standards themes of the summer term: namely uniform and punctuality.
Although it is warm, students should wear full school uniform. We will allow them to remove their blazers, but we will ask that they have them with them. Also, students should all be wearing their shirts tucked in and looking immaculate.
In terms of punctuality, students should be in their tutor groups at 8.40am. Students who are late do run the risk of their parents/carers facing legal action and we would really appreciate your support in ensuring students arrive to school on time. Over the past two weeks, the number of students late to school has reduced significantly so we really appreciate your support.
I look forward to writing to you next week and enjoy your weekend when it arrives.
Mr Ford
