Parental Bulletin – 13th June 2025
MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you very much for supporting us so positively during another extremely busy week at Trinity. It would be true to say that our calendar is simply bursting with end-of-year events, and we are looking forward to every single one of them. However, the focus currently is very much academic success, and it is only right, at this point, to pay tribute to the Year 11 and 13 cohorts, whose formal examinations end next week. By the time you read the next parent bulletin, they will have left the school for their long, well-deserved summer break. I have been a very proud Headteacher over the past 6 weeks, witnessing our exam year groups calmly and maturely tackle every exam. I wish them every success in the future and am delighted that many of our Year 11 cohort have elected to stay with us in our sixth form for a further two years. The Year 13s are the most amazing young role models and, as they transition to higher education, training or employment, they do so with the skills and personal values that will enable them to thrive in modern Britain. I wish all our leavers every success.
Also, at Trinity this week, there has been excitement both in the curriculum and beyond. There have been successful A level Geography field trips and Photography trips to Bradgate Park where the students developed their portfolios. There have been GCSE PE rock-climbing assessments, a languages trip to Warwick University, a cyber fest STEM event and a whole array of extra-curricular activities, including district athletics and rounders. I am so proud of the students and the staff who work together throughout the school to provide this standard of education across the curriculum.
Please can I also keep reminding parents/carers to save the date of the evening of TUESDAY 15TH JULY for our summer awards evening. Our governors and I cannot wait to welcome parents/carers of award winners to this prestigious end of year awards event.
Every week, we remind parents/carers and politely ask, that you work with us to ensure that your child is in school every day, unless they are extremely unwell or there are other exceptional circumstances. We would also ask that you work with us to ensure they arrive well ahead of 8.40am and that they present to school each day in immaculate school uniform. If you would like support or guidance with any of these things, please speak to the relevant Head of Year or Pastoral Manager and we will be happy to support you. If we make any adjustments this summer term in our uniform due to hot weather conditions, we will let you know. However, for now, students should wear full school uniform, but they are welcome to remove their blazer in class.
I am looking forward to sharing news from around the school next week.
Mr Ford

CONTACTING SCHOOL
As many of you will have heard on the school answer phone message and to re-iterate Mr Ford’s comments, we receive an exceptionally high volume of calls on a daily basis. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity either to answer a high percentage of these calls or to listen to all voice messages left. We would therefore urge you to email the relevant person/people you wish to contact. Not only does this ensure that we have a written trail of communication between you and school, but it also means that the person you wish to speak to is guaranteed to receive your message.
