MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you have all had a lovely week. We have been very busy this week preparing for open week and ensuring that Excellence for All has been provided for all students in and out of the curriculum.
This week there has been a significant number of extra-curricular activities taking place, all enjoying large numbers of students participating. One of the biggest perks of being the Headteacher at Trinity, is that my office is located with a view of the football pitch, so I was able to watch our students competing hard against teams from other schools. I think that my biggest highlight of the week was Thursday where there were over 130 Year 11 students who had stayed on for Passport for Success whilst many students stayed to participate in House Sports events.
As the Headteacher of the school, one of the biggest privileges is when you hear about and witness the talents of our students, and this week there are two students I must make special mention of. Firstly, Cai Potter in Year 10 who is a qualified referee and refereed the Year 9 boys football fixture against St Augustine’s with such a high degree of skill. I was also told about the fantastic work of William Burgess in Year 11, a very talented boxer who reached the final of the West Midlands Development Championships after winning his semi-final. We are proud of all our students, but a special well done to Cai and William this week from all of us at Trinity.
In this bulletin, I promised parents/carers that I would give you plenty of notice regarding the dates of the celebration assemblies this year so that you can attempt to book the time off work. In order to keep my promise, the dates are:
Tuesday 19th December 2023 – Autumn Celebration Assembly
Tuesday 19th March 2024 – Spring Celebration Assembly
Tuesday 16th July 2024 – Summer Celebration Assembly
We really look forward to welcoming you to these special assemblies to recognise and celebrate the success of your children.
Finally, this week, we hope that many of you with prospective students or siblings will be coming to see us next week at our Open Week. There are spaces left for the Open Mornings and the Open Evening will undoubtedly be very busy. We look forward to welcoming all those who can make it.
I hope you have a lovely weekend and I look forward to writing next week’s bulletin already.
