HOMEWORK

At Trinity we believe that homework plays an invaluable part of the development of each and every student.  The importance of working outside the classroom cannot be underestimated. Not only does it engender a positive work ethic and self-discipline, but it also allows the students to develop a deeper understanding and knowledge than can be achieved in lessons alone.

Homeworks will be set according to the homework policy of each faculty and students should use the epraise website to check what homeworks they have been set and by what date they need to be completed.  Being able to organise, prioritise and carry out independent study are all traits that will be crucial as students progress through their academic and professional life.

In accordance with the Home School Agreement, we ask parents to support the school in encouraging students to complete homework on time and to the highest standards possible. The first time that parents log on to www.epraise.co.uk, they will be asked to create a username and password which will then allow them to monitor the homeworks that have been set.  At home, it is extremely important that there is a quiet place where homework can be completed. The library, however, is also available for students after school every day if they would prefer to work at school.

The homework timetable is given as a guide only.

Some subjects may choose to set homework on different days, and some subjects may wish to set it in a different way, for example as a longer project.
