HEADTEACHER’S MESSAGE

I hope you all have a restful and reinvigorating break this half-term, ready to come back full of energy. Those doing revision, good luck. Can parents and carers please remember to keep safe with regard to fireworks this half-term and the obvious reminder that students should not bring fireworks or sparklers into school.

MOCK EXAMS

Year 11 Core Mocks will start Monday 4th November at 08.45am. Please ensure your son/daughter arrives in plenty of time prior to the start of the exam. All students should ensure they have the correct equipment and know their exam number, seat number and exam venue. Students have been issued with a revision timetable to complete and follow over the course of the half-term week.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH

Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver Practice Walk on Saturday 16th November at the Lickey Hills commencing 08.45am -12.00pm (Letters will be sent out).

First DofE session with students will be after school on Tuesday 5th November. Only approximately 20 mins.

HEART OF WORCESTERSHIRE VISIT

Year 11 Food Students that have received a letter for the HOW College visit. They need to be returned the first week back (w/c 4th November).

Y10 & Y11 BOYS’ TOILETS

During half-term and lasting approximately six weeks, the Year 10/11 boys’ toilets are being refurbished.  Unfortunately, this will mean that other toilet facilities throughout the school will be in greater demand.  We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause but we are sure the disruption will be worth it.  These are the last of the student toilets to be refurbished and will be a great enhancement to our facilities.

CAREERS FAIR

WORLD CINEMA CLUB

Thursday 7th November until 4pm in Room 37. We will be starting “A Separation” winner of Oscar for best foreign language film in 2012. PG Rating. Please see attached poster.

In our drive to broaden our vocabulary, please find our new T2 Word of the week – COMPLEX:

  • That he has always had a complex about spiders (noun).
