Trinity High School

Student Support

Year 9 Year 10 Year 11
Mrs. S Stephenson Ms L. Masters Mr D.Lawrence

The pastoral team will liaise closely with Middle School staff to ensure that all appropriate information is exchanged so that the transfer to High School for Year 9 students is smooth and enjoyable. Parents of Year 8 students will have opportunities throughout the year to visit the school and meet the staff. Year 8 students will be visited in their Middle Schools and will have opportunities to become acquainted with their new High School before they begin Year 9.

All students will be allocated to a tutor group and the tutor will be the first point of contact for parents. Morning registers will be taken in tutor groups and tutors will take day-to-day responsibility for the general welfare and care of each student.
Heads of Year are non-teaching and able to focus on supporting students to be happy and successful during their time at Trinity. They have time to allow for meetings with parents, students and support agencies.
Heads of Year remain with their year group for the duration of their key stage 3 and 4 studies to provide continuity of care.
Heads of Year will provide opportunities for parents to discuss any concerns they may have at a weekly “Friday afternoon drop in” where appointments are not necessary.
