Press Release

Adrian Ward, Headteacher at Trinity High School, congratulates all the students, staff and parents on an excellent year for Trinity GCSE students. Pass rates in both in English and Maths were again very strong at 68% and 65% respectively. The school is very proud of the achievements of all its students and the number returning to study in the sixth form promises to be very high, including a number of students from other local schools.  The school is delighted at the number of students attaining the highest grades in a range of subject areas. A significant proportion of students gained 8 or more GCSE passes with A*-B grades.

‘I am absolutely delighted that the students at Trinity have performed so well again this year. This is particularly pleasing in the first year of reformed, more challenging examinations in English and Maths. These have been a first for both students and teachers and I am delighted that these core subjects performed so strongly. I am also really proud that a number of students gained a grade 9, the highest grade possible. As a truly comprehensive school which seeks to serve the entire community, it is important to celebrate the success of all our students and it is wonderful that 100% pass rate was recorded in all faculty areas in the school.’
