Trinity High School

Emergency Procedures

In the event of severe weather conditions or indeed any other emergency, we may need to close the school. This is a decision that can often only be made early in the morning.

In making this decision there is a need to balance the health and safety risks of students making hazardous journeys, against the loss of a school day and the fact that the bus companies often decide themselves not to undertake the services because of their own risk assessment. We either need to be open with a full school or closed. To end up with a depleted number of staff and students exposes them all to risk, for little purpose.

Any emergency procedure will be posted on the school website homepage. This should prevent parents and students having to wait to listen to a very large number of school closures in the case of severe weather.

In addition we will notify the following:

BBC Hereford & Worcester - 104 FM
Free Radio - 96.4 FM

Please note in the event of any closure, the school will remain open for examinations for all years. Students should ensure they attend school for any scheduled exams.
